Structured counselling
If you're struggling with low-level stress, anxiety, depression, or OCD, we can put you in touch with PAM Wellness and their trained counsellors for short-term support.
Before contacting us
- Check with your GP, or your employee assistance programme (EAP) if you’re in work, to see if either can help
- If you have private health insurance, review your policy to see if counselling is covered
- For more serious or long-term conditions, your GP, EAP or insurer may be better placed to support you
How it works
- Once you’ve explored those options, call our helpline to discuss your needs
- If eligible, we’ll refer you to PAM’s counsellors
- They’ll arrange a call with you to talk things through
- You’ll agree a personalised treatment plan
PAM’s structured counselling offers
- Short, fixed-term counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) or eye movement desensitisation and reprogramming (EMDR)
- In-person or digital sessions
- Guided self-help materials
- A safe, confidential and non-judgmental space
What if I have a severe, long-term condition?
Again, speak to your GP or a specialist mental health group first. If you’re still unsure where you stand, call our helpline, and we’ll chat through your options.
Your privacy matters
Bank Workers Charity and PAM Wellness treat everything you share with us as confidential. We won’t pass on your information to third parties without your permission, unless we’re required to by law, or where there’s a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable adult.
