In memory giving
In memory giving is a special way to honour someone from the banking community. It’s a way to celebrate their life while making a gift in their memory.
By donating to Bank Workers Charity, you’re supporting the same community that likely played an important role in your loved one’s or colleague’s life and career. Your gift helps people facing challenges such as mental health difficulties, financial hardship, caring responsibilities, disability or long-term illness.
Every day, we provide personalised advice, practical information and, where needed, financial grants to bank workers and their families.
If you’ve lost someone who worked in banking, you’ll know how much that community shaped who they were. Many people choose to honour them by setting up a tribute page – celebrating their life while helping colleagues and families who need support today.

Donate in memory
You can make a one-off donation or choose to fundraise in memory of someone special. Every gift helps support the banking community now and in the future.
You can choose to make your donation public or private.
Create a tribute fund or collect donations at a funeral or memorial service
Whether you’d like to remember your loved one with an online tribute fund or organise a collection for a colleague, this can be done in just a few steps. Many people choose to set up an online tribute fund as a way to bring others together. Family, friends and former colleagues can share memories and messages while making donations in one place.
Tribute funds can also be shared at a funeral or memorial service, or within a workplace, allowing people to give in a way that feels right for them.
Gifts made in memory of your loved one or colleague help support the banking community when it’s needed most – continuing their connection to the sector they were part of.

4. When asked, select “In memory”. Add your loved one’s name, a photo (if you wish), and a few words about their life and career in banking
5. Choose how people can give. Friends and family can donate, leave messages and share memories. Donations go directly and securely to Bank Workers Charity
6. Share the tribute page with friends, family and former colleagues so they can celebrate their memory and support a cause close to their heart
7. To use the tribute fund at a funeral or memorial, you can include the link (or a QR code) in service sheets or ask the funeral director to mention the charity
