About the webinar

Periods are a natural part of life for around half the workforce. Yet menstrual health is still surrounded by stigma, shame and silence at work.

In this session, we’ll explore how menstrual health affects physical, mental and financial wellbeing – and why this makes it a critical workplace issue. We’ll also discuss the concept of menstrual concealment, a term coined by Professor Kate Seear, which highlights a troubling paradox. Women are often suspected of exaggerating menstrual health issues to avoid work, while in reality many are hiding their symptoms or pushing through in order to stay in work.

The webinar will also look at practical, realistic steps workplaces can take to foster a more open, supportive culture – improving wellbeing not just for those who menstruate, but for everyone.
