About the webinar

Recent years have seen a surge in mental health problems among children and young people. In 2021, one in six children and young people were identified as having a probable mental health condition. In fact, there has been an increase in the incidence of all common mental health conditions among this demographic. Regrettably, the NHS is struggling to meet the demand for treatment, and this is a major concern for parents.

In this webinar we’ll be exploring the common mental health problems that affect children and young people, and we’ll consider some of the wider factors that can affect them psychologically, like uncertainty and the impact of social media. We’ll also draw attention to the full range of resources available to help children, as well as identifying options for patents seeking guidance on how best to support their children.
